In October, Impact Networking hosted its second biannual all-company meeting of 2019. Hundreds of employees from every single Impact location across the country were invited to attend and learn about the company’s latest successes and where it’s headed as we look forward to the next decade.
Join us in this blog as we run down the facts, figures, and new arrivals as Impact rounds out the 2010s and looks forward to 2020.
In keeping with the theme of the event, much of the focus was on was on Impact’s growing roster of managed services. As a leading MSP, being able to deliver a full range of services is a central aspect of Impact’s strategy for the future.
We started the morning session with presentations from the heads of each respective department. Here’s a breakdown with where we are with our leading services:
Impact’s MIT program has seen significant growth since its beginnings back in 2014. From a team of seven, it has since grown into a 143-strong team of five divisions. On the back of MIT’s success, a new quota was established for 2019, nearly doubling the RMM expectations set in 2018.
MIT security (MITSec) is one of the latest and greatest services Impact has been developing. Impact Shield, our custom-built security program, has been meticulously developed over the last year, vetting hundreds of best-in-class software and solutions to create the right product. With cybersecurity one of the most pressing issues for modern SMBs, a substantial MSSP offering is essential, and Impact has done just that.
Our managed process optimization offering has improved significantly since in 2015. Our RPA, low/no code, and collaboration tools have taken the process optimization suite to the next level. 2019 saw the largest growth yet from the department, with a 33% increase in sales.
ES99, Impact’s independent marketing agency, again saw a record-breaking year, despite being one of our newest services. After seeing a 207% increase in MRR from 2017 to 2018, ES99 again saw an impressive increase this year of 101%, doubling its revenue. The 50-person strong agency had its biggest month ever in July 2019.
Managed print is Impact’s oldest service and to this day still forms a core part of what we offer as a business. But don't think for a second that it’s not also an integral part of our wider digital transformation services. Smart MFPs, document capture, and automation solutions are all key aspects of what MPS provides our clients. It remains a strong and stable arm of Impact, with continued YOY growth of 8% expected for 2019.
Impact Optimize2019 was a resounding success for Impact. After the first Optimize in 2018, the stakes were raised this year, with the event increasing in size ten-fold.
Hosted at Navy Pier, we welcomed over 1,000 professionals to learn about everything digital transformation. There were industry experts and leaders who presented over 70 breakout sessions, presentations, and demonstrations—as well as our two outstanding keynote speakers, MafiaBoy and Robert Herjavec.
The primary goal of Optimize2019 was to demonstrate that Impact could live up to its billing as a thought-leader in the managed services and technology industries. Our goal is to inform and educate decision makers across all industries about digital transformation.
On the back of its success, we’ve just announced that we will be returning to Navy Pier for the third annual Optimize in August 2020.
As we announced in a recent blog post, October marked the launch of Impact’s brand new website. Built from the ground up, we’ve been fastidiously making sure that our new digital home is up to our sky-high standards, and those of our clients.
It features a radical aesthetic redesign, in keeping with our forward-looking approach, allowing for easier navigation to find the things that matter most to visitors.
Some of the improvements that come along with the new site are:
Our two keynote speakers kicked off the afternoon sessions for the day.
Executive and entrepreneur Sarah O’Hagan joined us to be our first keynote speaker of the day. Sarah’s distinguished career path at the very top of some of the biggest brands in the world, including Virgin, Nike, and Gatorade, positioned her as the ideal candidate to share her experience and entrepreneurial spirit with Impact’s employees.
MafiaBoy returned to speak at our all-company meeting after joining Impact to be one of Optimize2019’s keynote speakers. A former cybercriminal-turned white-hat hacker, MafiaBoy was perfectly placed to talk about business security—an area which will be central to Impact’s managed security service offerings going forward.
The final presentation of the day was made by Impact CEO Frank Cucco. Here are the key takeaways:
In addition to this, Impact also celebrated the opening of two new offices this year in California at the Anaheim and Riverside locations. These are just two new additions to Impact’s continual growth. We have another exciting new location in the works, so stay tuned!
There was recognition for the many charitable causes Impact participates in, like Pickard Elementary School, with whom Impact a long-standing relationship. As the company continues to grow and expand into new locations in the future, partnering with new communities will remain a central part of Impact’s ethos.
Frank’s presentation was rounded out with a look at Impact’s positive growth, 24% YTD over last year, with Managed IT seeing the largest overall growth and ES99 seeing the largest percentage growth across all divisions.
With the meeting over and the health of the company reported, it was time for our raffle and then to toast our personal health and raise a glass or three. Cheers!
